Gabriel Allon is
Daniel Silva's master assassin, spy, counterterrorist, artist, and art restorer. He worked for and later headed the
Office, the agency responsibility for intelligence collection—and more—for the State of Israel. He retired from the Office at the end of
Portrait of an Unknown Woman but has remained active at the request of others. Gabriel's story has been told in
a series of books.
